Cleethorpes was a local government district and borough in Humberside, England from 1974 to 1996.
It was formed on April 1, 1974, and covered Cleethorpes itself along with a wider area including Humberston , Stallingborough , and New Waltham , and Immingham. It was abolished on April 1, 1996 along with Humberside and was merged along with the borough of Great Grimsby into the new unitary North East Lincolnshire.
